GILES RIDLEY
Giles Ridley Photography presents a unique collection of stadium photographs taken at major international sporting events in the cricket and rugby stadia of South Africa and the United Kingdom. A variety of other stadia and venues featuring other sports events are depicted in exceptionally detailed images recorded by large-format panoramic cameras.
The highlights of the Rugby World Cups of 1995 in South Africa, and of 1999 in the United Kingdom are also represented, and a selection of panoramas of the six English test match venues taken during the ICC Cricket World Cup 1999. The ICC Cricket World Cup of 2003 is also represented in a series of officially licensed images, complete with associated legends and scorecards.
Shane Warne's 100th Test Match at Newlands in 2002 is featured, an occasion on which he demonstrated his unique skills with great stamina and won the Man of the Match award.
A variety of photographs of South African stadia which will play a role in the staging of the Fifa Football World Cup 2010 will be added to this web site soon.
